Your team’s name will be on the windshield of the carts. Please be in your cart ready for the tournament organizers to give instructions and start the play promptly, at Noon.

The tournament will follow a four-person scramble format, which is a popular and friendly option for charity golf tournaments, as it allows players of all abilities to participate. After each player in a four-person team hits their driving shot, the team chooses the best drive and then all players hit their next shot from that position. Subsequent shots follow the same process until one of the players sinks a putt. The team then records its score for the hole and progresses to the next tee.

Mulligans will be available for $10 each (maximum of 2), for tee shots and putts (not to be used in the fairway).

Throws will be available for $10 each (maximum of 1), cannot be used on the green. Throws are an extension of the shot played.

Rules

A scramble means that all four team members tee off on each hole and then decide which tee shot they like the best and mark the spot with a tee or ball marker.

The other team members pick up their balls and place them within one club length (no closer to the hole) of the marked spot. Each team member hits their next shot from the chosen spot of the prior shot.

This procedure is followed on every shot for the remainder of the holes, including putts. The ball should be marked on the putting green also.

Putts need to be made within 2 inches of the marked spot but no closer to the hole. The first ball to go in the hole is counted for the team score.

If the ball you choose to play is in a hazard, the rough, or out of bounds, you cannot drop the ball outside of the hazard or rough even if relief is within one club length away.

Men tee off from the white tees and women, seniors (60+), and age 12 and under from the red tees.

To speed play (all day) you play for bogey. If you have reached a score of par, but not yet sunk the putt – pick-up and take a bogey. Exception: You’re on the green in 2 on a par 5, you miss two putts, you must putt for par!

In the event of a tie we have chosen, that Terrapin Hills, management will determine the tie starting with count back from the 18th hole.

Please take cover if the horn is blown due to lightning. Two short horn blows will signify all clear to resume play.
